Congrats to Ben and Lindsy but we are having more fun

Welcome baby Brent to the Kevan family.  What a cute little guy!!  The kids(Matt, Wyatt, Thea, and Halle) got to see their little brother then we took off to grandpas house in Pendleton for a few days.  Leslie and her kids (Sadie, Josiah, Jarom and Elijah) are also here for a visit.  And Camille is spending a couple days with us so our house is full but twice the fun.

Friday morning

I am really spoiled in my life right now.  I get up, take a walk, and enjoy each morning.  This is what I saw this morning. 

This cool old shed is just behind up.      And its time to water the back pastures.

This was my favorite.  The corn, beans and zucchini in the garden.  There was the biggest weed right in the middle of the first picture.  We are eating vine ripe tomatoes already and the zucchini’s are little and cute.  You really can’t tell but the corn is 2 feet taller than me.

It was fun having Nysa and Peyton here for a week.  Miss them.

A fun week

This week we have had Nysa and Peyton visiting us.  So along with Camille we have been cooking, crafting, swimming, and watching a lot of Disney channel.

The boys (Braidon and Seth) have a curb making project with grandpa.  They are making 260 of these boxes of cement. 

They have 4 pallets of cement bags to go.  Those boxes weigh around 80 lbs each.

Quick visit

Grant, Kiley, Gabe and Bryce came through for a Morrison Family reunion about the time we had to leave so we only saw them for a bit.  Hope to see more of them soon.

Wood Family Reunion

Duane’s family gets together every 2 years and this year it was at Dave and Etta’s in Sun Valley ID.  We spent the 4th of July at their house and watched the town parade and the fireworks.  Sterling, Micah and Braidon put on our own fireworks show at the house.  Pretty fun.

On the way up to the Lake we stopped at a viewpoint and somehow got everyone together for a picture.  Dereks girlfriend Kayla was the photographer so everyone is in the picture except Kaitlynn who is in Brazil on a mission

These are: The Lodge (It is a Luthern Church retreat), The Lake, A quilt on every bed, and Duane enjoying the day.

The Lake was great !! There were the stand up paddle boards, sail boats, paddle boats, canoes.  Duane and I took a canoe across the lake and the wind pushed us back.  It was very relaxing.  (this is Dave on the board, Derek/Kayla, Braidon, Etta and girls)

The climbing wall was the biggest hit.  (Sadie and Micah)  We spent all morning on this.  No, I didn’t try it, should have !

A Hot One

I guess I am having a hard time believing that it was as hot as it was today.  I saw 110.7 on the thermometer and couldn’t believe it.  That was around 1pm.  It was 106 at 4:30, 98 at 8pm, and finally 94 at 9:30.  I hope it doesn’t last long
