22
Duane is fixing the hope chest that was at the end of my bed forever. So I got to go through it and clean out and think and organize. I found out I am a card saver. I actually have cards from when I was 8 years old and all the mother’s day cards I ever received : ) . I also have my favorite baby outfits the kids wore. A little yellow and orange dress each girl had their first picture taken in and a little blue outfit that says ‘awesome’ the boys wore. But the one thing I found was one of Dad’s shirts that he obviously grew out of….I will have to say it is the original ‘22’ shirt.
If I remember….he wore it on a baseball team that he and his brothers played on. So now you know where your love of the number 22 comes from.

Spring is Here….
I love the colors, the smell, and the beauty of spring.
Last year we didn’t have any apples on any of the apple trees. This year I hope they are loaded !
Just thought I would throw in a picture of Mac and Buddy : )
The Kern’s Family visit:
This is what we do with grandkids to keep them under control : ) No..not really. One of the fun things at grandpa’s house.
Sadie and Elijah
Jarom is getting bigger so he had to stand really still or it would have fallen over.
Josiah made his own creation.
Sadie had her face painting at the preparedness fair. Scared me everytime I looked at her.
Love these kids !!

Catch up post
We have been doing a lot of little things so here is a catch up post : )
Gabe and Bryce (and Grant /Kiley) came to see us. It’s always fun to have them here. Love to be called Grammy.
Gabe is 3 in this picture Bryce is 2.
Then we had a concrete project. We had to pour some to support my new bird house and also a pad for our new mailbox holders (more on that later). So Duane also filled in an area he has always wanted paved.
During Spring Break we had the Stoddard and the Kerns grandkids over for a couple of days. They came at different times so we had double the fun.
Langdon, Taegan and Karsten Stoddard driving grandpa’s golf cart.

We have been to a couple of Track Meets for Braidon and some of my seminary kids….
That’s Braidon taking off for the long jump. Those are Josiah and Jarom’s heads watching him.
This is a Rugby game of one of my Seminary kids’ (Sam Spratling #8) That is a crazy rough sport !
We had a great time at my Mom and Dad’s 80th Birthday Dinner
Evan and Virginia Larsen. The best dad and mom ever : ) 80 this year…
and our traditional yearly mom and girls picture. Not bad for a change.
Chris, Carol, Virginia (mom) Teri and Deb
Now for the long story…..Mike has always like to surprise me. This time he did a good job. It was Sunday morning at about 8am and someone was ringing the doorbell, so I open the door and there is Mike and Jaimi. (Jaimi is taking a video on her phone ) It took me a few seconds to figure out what was going on because they were suppose to be living in Palmer Alaska for the summer. But they changed their plans and had just driven from Friday morning to Sunday morning straight to get to Pendleton. Crazy kids !!! Now they are on their way to Rexburg for school.
Community Preparedness Fair
Our ward spearheaded a community preparedness fair and we were involved in it. Duane made a 3 sided house that everyone had to walk thru to get to the area inside that said ‘Preparedness starts at Home’. That was where all the church pamphlets on preparedness and food storage etc were. I was in charge of the kids section outside. They got to play while the adults were inside getting all sorts of good information. It was well attended.
That’s about it for us…..probably have more in 3 months again….
