Fun with the Kern’s in Bremerton, WA

Duane and I went up to Bremerton to watch Leslie’s kids while she and Nathan took the girls in their ward on a camping/hiking trip.  We took Camille with us because Jeff was up with the scouts in our ward on a 50 miler in the high lakes above La Grande.

After swimming one day

Elijah is 3, Sadie is 11, Josiah is 9, Jarom is 7 and Camille is 11.

The girls and Allie (the Dog) dressed up ….We also tried some marble races.

We went to the ‘Fountains’.  They are built to look like volcano and they ‘explode’ every minute or so …they had so much fun and got very wet.

We made some big bubbles that actually worked (have some videos that are cool but don’t know how to download them)  Elijah and the dog did the little version.

But I think the most fun was making ‘Ferry houses’.  They made a whole “Ferry Land” with 10 little ferry houses made with sticks, rocks, flowers, totem poles, clay….  They are very creative kids.  Fun times….Fun Kids !!

Love the garden this year !

The peas have already come and gone.  The zucchini is doing great as always..can’t give enough of them away.  But it’s the broccoli that is doing amazing this year.  I am freezing it and sharing a lot with the neighbors because Duane doesn’t eat ‘the stuff’. 

These pictures just don’t do it justice as to how big that head is.  Loving it !

4th of July

We went up to Jeff’s new cabin at Langdon Lake.  (that is the lake up by spout springs for those who know that area)  The kids played in the water and we ate great food.

This is the ‘cabin’ across the lake…I forgot to get a picture of Jeff’s…its about the size of the little guest cabin in this picture ; )

Langdon was putting up with his big brother Karsten.

Seth was having fun beating everyone at chess.  The only picture I had of Taegan.  Then finally Langdon got his revenge.

There were 6 big rams just casually eating while cars and trucks were zooming by. 

Our Mailbox project

Duane ‘re-purposed’ some oregonian racks and had a neighbor paint on them for a new look for mailboxes.
