We have had the privilege of having Al over to our house for missionary discussions. He was baptized this past Saturday. It all started because Duane is our ward mission leader. So he was asked by some people in La Grande to meet with the missionaries and their friend that lives here in Pendleton. The second time they met with the missionaries they asked him questions like ‘where did you grow up’ etc. It ended up that Duane and him graduated from Union High School together. He had gone by his middle name all through school so Duane didn’t recognize Al. He knew Dick Bennett. Anyway they have had so much fun sharing stories and catching up on the past 50 years. Al made a statement once that both Duane and I love. He said “ I have believed in Christ all my life but have never done anything about it.” Neat man, we love him
